Our mission is to share the hidden charms of this village with the whole world, introducing you to its traditions, so that every sip brings the feeling of walking through the “Piazzetta”, no matter where you are.

The spirit of the game from the time of ‘La Dolce Vita’

In the 1950s and 1960s, Klaus hosted some of the most beautiful parties of the time. His love for the Italian Riviera has been passed down through the generations. We created our gin as a tribute to Klaus – a playful spirit with an irreplaceable Mediterranean character.

Tribute to the Portofino icon

Our company was founded in honor of Klaus Pudel, the grandfather of the co-founder of Portofino Dry Gin, Ruggero. Klaus was a man who deserved admiration for saving Portofino during World War II. At the heart of our gin are 21 plants carefully selected for their intense aromatic properties, harvested from our botanical sanctuary in the hills of Portofino.

Botanical sanctuary along the Ligurian coast

In this unique microenvironment of the Ligurian coast, lush Mediterranean vegetation grows throughout the year. Lemons, lavender, rosemary, marjoram, sage, iris and rose are organically grown and combined with local ingredients to complete the secret recipe of our gin.

The opening notes of Portofino Dry Gin convey the freshness of lemon and the freshness of pine that lead us to the hills of Portofino. Mediterranean aromas follow: from the scent of rosemary and lavender of the coastal bushes to the sweet and delicate notes of marjoram and sage, which are the taste of traditional Ligurian cuisine.
